Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us here at Life 97.9!
As I reflect on 2024, I’m amazed at how I can see God’s handiwork all over it. I’m humbled to serve alongside an amazing group of people who work hard each day to point people to Jesus and help people grow in their faith.
I’m thankful to our donors and community partners who support this ministry financially, to our many listeners who participate and help make all our different events possible, and to all of you who pray for the ministry.

Maybe 2024 has been full of ups and downs for you. Maybe now as Christmas season is upon us, it doesn’t really feel like Christmas. My prayer for you is that you can experience the peace and find rest that can only come from the Lord. Peace and rest that goes beyond what you and I can think or imagine for it truly comes from Him.
May these verses serve as a reminder that the God of the universe loves you! He loves you so much that he sent His son, Jesus, to bring us hope and a future. May these promises bring a supernatural peace and time of rest for you and for me as we take time to reflect.
John 16:33: “‘I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.’”
Philippians 4:5–7: “Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Matthew 11:28–30: “Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.’”
